Dear Teammates,

For 26 years, the Scotland Cancer Treatment Center has been a place of hope, healing, and compassion for our patients and their families. As patient volume has continued to grow, it’s clear that expanding our space is essential to meet the needs of those we serve.

That’s why earlier this year we launched Healing Begins Here, a capital campaign to expand the Scotland Cancer Treatment Center. As part of this effort, we invite you to take part in the Power of 26 Campaign—a simple and meaningful way for teammates to come together and make a lasting impact.

Give online here or choose payroll deduction here.

The Power of 26 is easy:

Give $26 a month for one year—about the cost of five coffees a month—to support this important expansion. Every gift makes a difference, and if you’re able to give more, your generosity will help us reach our $2 million goal.

The campaign will run through mid‑June, and we’re planning to have some fun along the way! Expect weekly prizes, progress updates, and celebrations of teamwork and generosity throughout the campaign.

When we come together, our collective impact is powerful. Thank you for all you do every day for our patients and each other. We hope you’ll join us in the Power of 26 and help ensure healing continues for years to come.

The Power of One Life Well Lived: Wayne’s Story

Anne Hoover still hears her father’s voice.

It shows up in quiet, everyday ways—the way he used to answer the phone, the sayings like “on it,” that were uniquely his, the steady expectations he set without ever needing to explain them. Long after his passing, those echoes remain, guiding her.

Wayne Traffas was not a man who asked for help. He didn’t complain, didn’t draw attention to himself, and when cancer entered his life, he carried that burden the same way he carried everything else—quietly, privately, on his own terms.
